“We are all in the gutter,
but some of us are looking at the stars”
— Oscar Wilde

Every year on the night of the 10th of August it is customary in Italy to head to the hills with blankets and loved ones, sit back and enjoy the show that the sky has to offer.

It is the night of Saint Lorenzo, the night of the shooting stars.

It is around this time of the year that the Perseids meteor showers dance in the night sky, allowing people to claim a star for their wishes.

With 'U R A STAR' I thought: If the sky can offer all of us such a view, I also feel inspired to 'shoot stars' and connect to people...

What better way to 'shoot', but to send text messages.

By sending 'U R A STAR' I wanted to play with the element of surprise, with the unexpected message 'falling' from nowhere. Reaching out to people with the simple notion that we all come from stardust and that we are all stars in our own way.

Little did I know that all the responses I got back would become the most interesting part of the whole idea...
